Refundable Tax Credit & Grant Information

Beginning in 2015, North Carolina will offer a $10 million film and entertainment grant program. Funds from the $10 million grant will serve as a rebate of up to 25% on qualified expenses/purchases of productions and will be available at the start of 2015 following a public comment period ending January 23.

Information about the state's previous 25% refundable tax credit remains listed as a reference for productions who had spending prior to January 1, 2015 and do not intent to apply that spending towards the new grant program.
