Banff Mountain Film Festival Coming to Charlotte

Charlotte--The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) will host the
Banff Mountain Film Festival 2010 Radical Reels Tour on Saturday, September 11, from 7 to 10 p.m. The Radical Reels Tour is a presentation of the best high-adrenaline films entered into the Banff Mountain Film Festival competition. The festival will feature 10 short films that that capture some of the most progressive talent in action sports including: mountain biking, skiing, whitewater kayaking and other mountain sports. Watch these athletes hurtle down steep untouched powder, feel the cold spray of stomach-dropping kayak first descents and fly high with the world's wildest BASE jumpers.

The Fellowship of the Bearing, Focus: Downhill skateboarding
Hack Your Shackles, Focus: Noboarding
Look to the Ground, Focus: Mountain biking

NWD10: Dust and Bones, Focus: Mountain biking
On Sight, Focus: Rock climbing
Progression: World Cup, Focus: Indoor rock climbing
Re:Session, Focus: Skiing
World Record Waterfall Descent, Focus: Whitewater kayak
Growing out of the famous Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour, the Radical Reels Tour screens the best in action sports filmmaking, audience-tested and programmed for maximum excitement. The Radical Reels Tour kicked off in the winter of 2004 in a limited number of locations, and now screens in over 40 locations across more than 15 states and provinces.
