Crew needed for independent film in Charlotte
Mar 6, 2008
"In/Significant Others", John Schwert's follow-up feature to "Among Brothers" is set to begin production in Charlotte March 10 - April 4 and is in search of crew. This SAG ultra low-budget project with what Schwert deems a "strong script", is targeted to be a top-tiered indie festival piece. "Among Brothers" screened at 17 film festivals during 2005-2006, and was recently featured on Dateline NBC.
The production has a variety of crew positions available for nearly all departments: production, camera, sound, wardrobe, grip, and lighting as well as production design/art department. As a SAG ultra low-budget production, crew will be reimbursed weekly with profit participation for department heads - a good opportunity to work on a local film with a solid cast and director.
"In/Significant Others" blurs the lines between drama, comedy, mystery, and crime. This modern thriller voices a unique narrative by trailing an eclectic ensemble cast of characters through their unpredictable daily lives. The film takes a look inside personal, intimate moments of these unknowingly-linked characters' lives, including glimpses into the unlikely trio of worlds: drug addiction, stand-up comedy, and murder. As the character's parallel storylines converge and build to a climactic finale, a film-within-a-film causes reality to be questioned with a captivating and visceral series of reveals.
